U.S. News and World Report recently recognized Lightridge High School as one of the best high schools in the nation.
Lightridge ranked #1,196 among the ranked “nearly 18,000 public high schools out of more than 24,000 reviewed,” according to U.S. News and World Report. This places Lightridge in the top 5% nationwide.
The school is also ranked #3 in Loudoun County, #22 in Virginia, and #30 in the Washington, DC Metro Area.
Rankings are determined by “performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.”
“I think this is something that the whole Lightridge community, including students, parents, and staff should be proud of,” said principal Ryan Hitchman. “We don’t chase things like getting rankings, we just do.
