On Nov. 12, 2022, the Lightridge Car Club held a car meetup at Lightridge High School.

Senior Justin Mitchell, Car Club founder, had the idea to start a club in his junior year, but was delayed due to “COVID and academic restrictions.”

“For the first meet, it was excellent,” said Mitchell. “I believe we had around 50 cars between the entirety of the three hours.”

“Around 20% of all proceeds will go to Wounded Warrior,” said senior Adam Domanico, Car Club co-founder, referring to a non-profit organization that helps veterans and active military service members.

Asked about their future plans for the Car Club, Domanico said “We plan to buy an old sports car from long ago, make it the club’s project car, and make it Lightridge themed.”
