Lightridge Varsity Baseball finished the regular season with the best record in school history finishing the regular season with a 17-5 record. They had a lot of big wins, including a 15-0 victory against Rock Ridge High School and a 13-1 win over Riverside. They advanced to the regional playoffs where in their first game they won 10 – 0 against Riverside High School before falling 5-4 to Riverbend.

Lightridge Varsity Baseball is coached by head coach Kenneth Moreland and assistant coach Josh Martin.

“The season was a success but we felt like there was unfinished business,” said Moreland. “The fact that they were a true family stood out the most.”

Moreland said they had a lot to work on even though the season went ten times better than last season, and said the team’s pitching still needs to improve. Lightridge Varsity baseball had a lot of big wins this season, their biggest win being a final score of 15-0 against Rock Ridge High School. Another big win was against Riverside where they won 13-1.
